Glossary of Terms
It’s par for the course, of course, that we have to occasionally resort to techno-babble.
Here, explained, are some nerdy terms or acronyms, that we use on this blog:

Blog: A shared online journal with comments generally posted, and commented on, in chronological order
Domain Name: The name that identifies a web site
FTP (File Transfer Protocol): A method of transferring files between two computers
FTP Server: A Web Server (see below) that you can logon to and upload files to (or download files from)
HTML: Hypertext Markup language - the language of the web, the code that sits behind nearly everything we see on the web.
Moblog: A blog published directly to the web from a phone or other mobile device.
Web Server: A computer that delivers info to other computers. A hosting company’s computer that delivers web content to others.
